Florida Legislator Seeks to Regulate Fantasy Sports:

Senator Travis Hutson (R-Palm Beach) has introduced the Fantasy Sports Contest Amusement Act, SB 1568, to bring legalization and regulation to daily fantasy sports in Florida. The bill aims to provide clarity and consumer protections for individuals participating in fantasy sports contests. The proposed act requires fantasy sports contests to involve the skill of contest participants and defines "contest" as managing a fantasy or sports team composed of athletes from a professional sports organization. The $1 million licensing fee and $250,000 annual renewal would provide a revenue stream for the state.

Florida Technically Prohibits Fantasy Sports Operations:
