Naples is slowly making its way back to normal, cleaning up debris an assessing damage. Many of Collier County's major landmarks remain closed with no real timeframe for reopening, but others have managed to get their doors open.

But the four remaining dome homes did not make it through Hurricane Ian last week. Built in 1982 by a retired oil producer, Bob Lee, the homes survived the battering from Gulf of Mexico storms for decades.

Displaced families get low hotel rates following hurricane

ORLANDO, Fla. — With FEMA beginning to set up areas for displaced families across Central Florida, one hotel owner says he is trying to do his part to help where he can.

Florida women voters show that only 46 percent of females approve Gov. Ron DeSantis’ job performance, according to Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy. Meanwhile, 64 percent of men supported the governor’s performance, based on the poll published Wednesday.

However, DeSantis’ approval ratings in Florida have fluctuated over the years, the poll found. For instance, in March of 2019, 62 percent of Florida voters approved of his job performance, compared to 55 percent in the latest poll in September of 2022.
