
Central Florida is set to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with several events celebrating the civil rights leader's ### and work. The King Center has recognized King's "I Have a Dream" speech, Nobel Peace Prize lecture, and "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" as some of the most revered orations and writings in the English language.
On January 13, the 2024 MLK Parade Celebration will take place in historic Eatonville, starting at 2 p.m. on Kennedy Boulevard and ending at West Avenue. The 2024 Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Celebration will be held at Kissimmee Lakefront Park from noon until 4 p.m. on the same day. This event will feature ### music, food, and cultural performances.
On January 20, the 46th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade will begin at 1 p.m. at Providence Road and West 14th Street, and end at MLK Avenue and 2nd Street.
