The Colony hotel expands with new rooms and year-round market

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine — John Martin, a managing partner of The Colony on Ocean Avenue , stood on the hotel's north campus on Monday, Aug. 7, and regarded the blend of the historic and the contemporary on either side of him.

In the distance, The Colony provided the history, standing tall with its cupola at its greatest height serving as a beacon for travelers as they approach the hotel.

The notable exits were goalie Sarah Reznick, who opted to pursue nursing — and a summer as a pro with Athletes Unlimited — after six years in Gainesville, and Emma LoPinto, Florida's leading scorer, who transferred to Boston College.
