Florida Tennis Represented at Wimbledon - USTA Florida
As Wimbledon winds down this weekend, we look back at the tournament and highlight Florida tennis representatives who participated at the event.
There were twelve athletes who call Florida their home at Wimbledon. Two played in the Men's Draw, four in the Women's Draw, and six in the Junior's Draw.

"I signed because it's important that we support our own American citizens and send a message that Brittney Griner must be safely returned to her family, friends and fans," Fulton said. "We fear for her safety in Russia and will continue to appeal for her return."
The Central Florida women who signed cited their need to support a fellow Black woman. They criticized the punishing marijuana laws both in the U.S. and globally that triggered the charges against Griner and the pay disparity between players in the WNBA and NBA.

The R&A Womens Senior Amateur Championship was first played in 1981. The championship is open to players aged 50 years and over and is held annually. The competitor with the lowest 54-hole total over four rounds of stroke play will be declared the winner.
