The Inaugural 7 Creeks Fest: A Celebration of the Parks is Saturday, April 2 - Fernandina Observer

Jacksonville, Fla., March 16, 2022 – On Saturday, April 2, park partners and nonprofits will present the Inaugural 7 Creeks Fest and the community is invited to celebrate and explore the 7 Creeks Recreation Area.

Guests can enjoy a variety of nature activities in the 7 Creeks Recreation Area that will include visits to Betz-Tiger Point Preserve, Bogey Creek Preserve, Cedar Point Preserve, Cedar Point (National Park Service), and Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve State Park.

Walt Disney World denounces high school drill team performance that used Native American ...

Disney World officials say they 'regret' allowing a Texas high school drill team to parade in their park Tuesday with a performance that featured American Indian stereotypes including repeated chants of 'scalp them.'

The performance by the all-female 50-member squad saw the Port Neches-Groves High School 'Indianettes' march and dance in fringed outfits along Main Street USA in the park's Magic Kingdom to Native American-inspired music, with moves taken from said cultures.

Seniors of Spring: Wadsworth Park Senior Softball celebrates another year | Palm Coast Observer

The grass was green and the weather was perfect for the Wadsworth Park Senior Softball 69+ annual family picnic on March 17.

“I'm glad the grass is green and we're not looking up at the roots,” joked Jim Contreda, 72, who was watching the first of three softball games played before the picnic lunch was served.

A house in Ocean Hammock was the top real estate transaction for the week of Feb. 10-16 in Flagler County in the Multiple Listing Service. Glenn Hoffman and Marie Ranfone sold 30 Sandpiper Lane to Chryl Curtis, of Fayetteville, Georgia, for $1.2 million.

Thomas Finizio Sr., individually and as trustee, sold 200 Ocean Crest Drive, Unit 617, to Samuel and Melanie Smith, of Clifton, Virginia, for $700,000. Built in 2003, the condo is a 3/3 and has 1,676 square feet. It sold in 2019 for $400,000.
