PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Today, Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez was joined by State Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary Shawn Hamilton to encourage Floridians to prioritize heart health by becoming more active.

Florida Prepaid and Florida State Parks Partner to Encourage Families to Explore Education - EIN

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Prepaid College Savings Program and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Florida State Parks are partnering to encourage families to explore educational opportunities and the outdoors.

Through this partnership,10 Florida children will be awarded a one-year Florida university plan college scholarship valued at approximately $7,000, and 25 runners-up will be selected to receive a Florida State Parks Junior Ranger gift pack.

'Peppa Pig' Theme Park Coming to Legoland

English children’s show Peppa Pig has become popular in over 180 countries, including the United States. Not only is it adored among children, though, but Peppa has also had her time to shine on various social media platforms such as Twitter and TikTok.

Slated to open on Feb. 24, the Peppa Pig theme park is looking to be accessible for all as they’ve partnered with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. Because of their work with the board, the park will become a certified autism center.

100 years of beauty and service: Garden Club of Halifax Country reaches centennial milestone |

The oldest garden club in the state of Florida, the GCHC is more than just a group of ladies who love plants. In its centennial of existence, members have worked diligently on education, conservation, beautification and historic preservation projects throughout the Halifax area.

"I think we've kept true to our mission, and interested women in those things," said GCHC president Linda Armour. "Conservation, the environment, education still stay in the forefront, and then people go into their specialties."

Donna Spaventa (nee Galbraith) passed away from heart failure on February 11th, 2022 at the age of

Donna was born in Batavia, NY, on February 5, 1954. She spent much of her childhood on her family’s dairy farms and amongst her large extended family. She remembered those years as the happiest part of her childhood.

She met her husband in Altamonte Springs, FL. They married in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Toms River, NJ, where they raised their daughter, Lisa.
