LETTER: Florida bill unveiled for changes to voting laws

Legislation is scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Committee on Ethics and Elections. What? This makes no sense.

Every action taken by the GOP to ensure an election free of voter fraud is just a pretense so they can continue to enact bills to suppress voter registration and deny the right of the people to choose whom they want to lead them. The GOP is not trying to hide what they are doing.

Opinion | Anti-'discomfort' history laws will make sure we never understand America - The

That protection from "discomfort," of course, is a one-way street accessible only to White students. What about the unease Black students feel learning history that is sanitized or just plain incorrect?

One teacher often had students read sections of the textbook aloud in class. No one ever saw my growing alarm as I realized that the (startlingly brief) section on slavery would be intoned by me.
