The survey found that 61% of Floridians plan to start booking their trips by the end of September... with over one-third (36%) having already done so before September.
The survey also revealed that more Floridians plan to travel during Thanksgiving and Christmas compared to New Year's. For Thanksgiving, 70% of travelers plan to take an overnight trip, with 57% having finalized their plans by the end of September. AAA recommends considering travel on the Sunday or Monday before Thanksgiving and Saturday after the holiday to avoid busy airport lines and flights with limited availability.
According to AAA, the busiest travel days during Thanksgiving are Tuesday, Wednesday, "and Sunday." Travelers who can avoid these days may find shorter lines and more flight options.
