The North Florida women's team cut a 20-point halftime deficit to six points with a 14-0 run to open the third quarter, but Stetson held on to win 73-62 on Saturday at UNF Arena.

Jordyn Merritt added 17 points with a career-high five 3-pointers for the Gators (11-5, 1-2 Southeastern Conference), who overcame a 19-point third-quarter deficit.

Cruz thanked advocates across the state, including Rep. Fentrice Driskell and members of the Abandoned African American Cemeteries Task Force, who “supported this fight to honor, recognize and protect abandoned African American cemeteries in Florida.”
Judge dismisses groping case against former NY Gov. Cuomo | WFLA
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A judge on Friday dismissed the only criminal charge filed against former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in connection with the sexual harassment allegations that drove him from office.
The expected procedural move had been requested by prosecutors from the Albany County district attorney's office and came as they, Cuomo, and his lawyers made a virtual appearance before a judge in Albany City Court.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Dozens of people got together for a candlelight vigil in St. Petersburg Thursday, on the anniversary of the U.S. Capitol attacks.
However, it was more than just the vigil. Those who gathered at South Straub Park demanded action. They’re calling on elected leaders to pass legislation protecting the ballot, including the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
