John MacVeigh is a retired FBI veteran with 23 years of experience. He worked as a cold case detective and has extensive knowledge of DNA testing and its applications in law enforcement. As a result of the rollout of DNA testing in March, MacVeigh expects to see a significant increase in the number of hits on unsolved crimes... particularly in Florida.
He notes that the DNA database is already yielding over 4,500 hits each year and believes that this number will continue to rise.
