Film Festival at Florida Tech Offers Celluloid Smorgasbord | WFIT

Featuring films from Italy, Spain, Chile, France, Dominical Republic, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Israel, the U.S. and elsewhere – none of which is longer than 21 minutes – the lineup offers 18 student entries and eight from professional filmmakers.

As it has been since its inception, the free festival is run by students from Florida Tech Video Productions (FITV).

Sponsored by the Florida Keys Commercial Fishermen's Association, the festival had to be postponed from its usual January schedule due to COVID. But the April date didn't diminish the hungry crowds.

Full Sail University to return as primary sponsor of the 31st Annual Florida Film Festival

Full Sail University announced Tuesday that it will return as the primary sponsor of the Florida Film Festival for the 19th consecutive year.

Full Sail Visual Arts Education Director Rick Ramsey said the festival is a great way to highlight the film industry in Florida.

Miami's International Queer Tango Festival invites LGBTQ dancers to the milonga | WLRN

Brews Around the Zoo brings craft beer tasting to Central Florida Zoo - Orlando Sentinel

Raise a glass and enjoy a day of sampling craft beer while visiting with animals as "Brews Around the Zoo" returns to Sanford this weekend.

The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens will host breweries touting more than 30 craft beers for tasting during the event April 9. From 5-9 p.m., wander near animal enclosures while sipping suds and helping to raise money for the zoo.
