Six men charged with stealing $60,000 in fuel in Florida gas theft ring

"While we have identified just over $60,000 in gas theft from seven documented events, we believe these men are responsible for far more money in theft due to their operation running nearly every day of the week," Chronister said, according to NBC News .

The theft began in February when two Circle K's found they were missing $25,000 in fuel that the thieves then sold at half price, officials said. Both stations saw seven trucks drive in and out multiple times in a 12-hour period at both stations, according to a statement from Circle K.

Bayside High students win 'Shark Tank' event held by Space Coast Junior Achievement

Three Bayside High juniors won big at a "Shark Tank" style event hosted by the Space Coast Junior Achievement Monday evening.

Twelve teams from schools around Brevard County created companies and designs for new inventions. Four finalist teams competed Monday night at the 10th-annual Balda Family Foundation Innovation Challenge to pitch their ideas in front of a panel of experts.

New Ohio House bill combines parts of Florida's 'don't say gay' with prohibition against teaching ...

The bill is aimed at school districts, charter schools, science, technology, engineering and math or STEM schools, as well as private schools that take Ohio children on vouchers.

In grades kindergarten through 3, the bill would prohibit the schools from teaching, using or providing any curriculum or instruction materials on sexual orientation or gender identity.

NY mobster who escaped federal custody rearrested in Florida - ABC News

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A New York mobster who escaped federal custody in Florida has been rearrested, officials said.

Taddeo was in the final year of his sentence when he escaped from a federal halfway house in Orlando on March 28. The federal Bureau of Prisons said he failed to return from an authorized appointment and "was placed on escape status."
