The Center Orlando is set to host Q Fest, a four-day celebration of queer arts and culture, from November 13-16 at its venue located at 946 N. Mills Ave. According to George Wallace, CEO of The Center Orlando, the event promises to showcase a diverse range of queer artists, including both established and emerging talents.
Yahoo News reports that this year's event comes after the cancellation of the second Orlando Out Fest, which was originally produced by Orlando Fringe due to financial concerns. However, The Center Orlando has stepped in to fill the void, and Q Fest has lay by the support of Orlando Fringe, with the organization providing lighting and sound equipment for the event.
The lineup for Q Fest features a variety of performances, including a cabaret by Natalie Doliner, burlesque shows by the Blacklist Babes, and an outrageous performance by P. Sparkle, the alter ego of Rob Ward. Other notable acts include illusionist Nick Comas, drag artist Addison Taylor, and Bruce Ryan Costella, who will present his "Spooky and Gayer" show. With its eclectic mix of performances, Q Fest is shaping up to be a must-attend event for the queer community and allies.
The Center Orlando , which offers support services to the queer community, announced Friday it will present Q Fest Nov. 13-16 at its venue, 946 N. Mills Ave. "It's going to be a really great variety of queer artists," said George Wallace, CEO of the The Center Orlando. "There are great, well-known artists and artists who have never performed before."Reference: Found here
