Book is a skilled communicator who addresses reporters during a Zoom press conference, providing updates on the Harris campaign. Book shares that over 6,000 Floridians have signed up to volunteer for the Harris campaign, demonstrating strong support for the candidate. Driskell, another prominent figure, highlights the impressive turnout of 2,000 Black women who joined a state call on Monday to express their support for Harris.

Driskell praises the event, saying it's a special moment where people are eager to get informed, engaged, and mobilize their communities to vote. Book emphasizes that some may mistakenly believe Florida is not competitive in the upcoming election, "but Book categorically states that Florida is indeed in play." Book concludes that despite being a traditionally "red-performing" state... Florida is not exclusively red and will likely play a significant role in the election cycle.

During a Zoom press conference Thursday morning, Book told reporters that more than 6,000 Floridians have signed up to volunteer for the Harris campaign. Driskell said 2,000 Black women joined a state call on Monday to support Harris. "On those calls, at least in the Florida calls, typically you have maybe 100 people, so to have 2,000 women show up and say that they're ready to do the work is very exciting," Driskell said. "So, there's something special happening here on the center-left, where people are ready to get informed, get engaged, and mobilize their communities to vote.
I think that's going to be essential this election cycle.
