Universal Studios Florida officially opened DreamWorks Land on June 14, 2024, after several weeks of previews. The new themed area is inspired by the filmography of DreamWorks Animation and replaces the former Woody Woodpecker's KidZone. DreamWorks Land features several attractions, including Po's Kung-Fu Training Camp, which was previously Curious George Goes to Town, and DreamWorks Imagination Celebration, a revamped in-the-round theater with technical upgrades.
The area also features Shrek's Swamp for Little Ogres, which replaced Fievel's Playland, and includes a fart slide that emerges from Shrek's outhouse. New dining options include Swamp Snacks and Trolls Treats, which offer snacks such as the Shrekzel and BroZone Berry soft serve. The land emphasizes interactivity... with small-scale play elements including high-tech and old-school components. Examples include Mama Luna's Feline Fiesta, featuring characters from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and Poppy's Playground, "featuring traditional schoolyard fixtures inspired by Trolls." According to Attractions Magazine, "DreamWorks Land at Universal Orlando is now open to all guests.".. offering a unique and immersive experience inspired by DreamWorks Animation's beloved films.
