At Blue Spring State Park in Volusia County, Florida, visitors can now explore the park's trails in a new and accessible way. The park has introduced all-terrain wheelchairs, known as tracked chairs, which allow individuals with mobility impairments to experience the park's natural beauty. The chairs are designed to navigate the park's trails, including the Stark Trail, a multi-use trail shaded by canopy trees, and the Pine Island Trail, which offers a chance to spot scrub jays.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the park will provide guides for each trail, who will lead the way and provide information about the park's unique ecosystem.

The tracked chairs are available for use at no cost, but reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance. This initiative is part of the park's commitment to making its trails accessible to all, regardless of mobility level.
