Florida Sports: Sergio De La Espriella Joins Gators Wire

Hello! My name is Sergio De La Espriella and today is my first day with Gators Wire. Before I dive into writing all about the Florida Gators, I figured I’d take the time to tell you all a little about myself.

I was born and raised in South Florida and have been an avid sports fan since before I could walk. My “first love” sports team was the 2003 Florida Marlins (Florida Marlins > Miami Marlins) and I idolized Dwyane Wade growing up.

MLB Still Has An Antitrust Exemption - Sports Talk Florida - N

In 1922, Supreme Court Chief Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in a landmark decision granted Major League Baseball an antitrust exemption and said baseball was a sport. He was wrong. Baseball is a business.
