Following a 4-8 season in 2025, over 30 players entered the transfer portal, including key starters. According to The Enquirer, several notable players have committed to join the Gators. Lowery, a junior and former Bartow High standout, recorded 27 tackles, four pass breakups, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery for East Carolina University last season. He committed to Florida on January 21. Chieca, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound junior, announced his commitment to Florida on January 19. In the previous season, he recorded 31 catches for 255 yards and four touchdowns for New Haven. Clinton, a 6-5, 300-pound Mississippi native, committed to Florida on January 18. As a redshirt sophomore, he recorded 16 tackles for the Golden Eagles. His athletic journey includes stints at Louisiana and East Mississippi CC. The FBS transfer portal, which opened on January 2 and runs through January 16, allows players to officially be in contact with other schools.
