Braden River High School Marching Band Of Pirates Wins Big At Florida Federation Championships

The Braden River High School Marching Band of Pirates recently achieved great success at the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit Outdoor State Championships in Winter Garden. Led by Drum Majors Alexa Macke, Allyson Abercrombie, and Braxton Taylor, as well as Captains Nico Wharton, Alexa Helton, Jared Rodriguez, Kirsten Soler, and Eva Abraham, the band secured first place in the 3A division and Grand Champions of the 1-3A Divisions. The leadership team also included Addy Hartley, Joshua Sallee, Paul Close, Emma Daley, Alexis Huffstutler, Chloe Randall, Ashley Romero, Joshua Small, and Dylan Atencio. Under the guidance of Band Director Cliff Dawson and Color Guard Director Kaylie Price, the band's Visual Staff consisted of Kaitlin Money and Nate Dungan, while the Music Staff included DJ Harpole, Marshall Knapp, and Ethan Hacker. The Percussion Staff comprised Tanner Hall, Hunter Brown, Tarah Macke, and Ken Macke, and the Colorguard Staff included Brittnie Balcom and Ava Small. The technology team was led by Chris Yates, with consultants Daniel Wiles, Frank Sullivan, Doug Downer, and Cristian Good.
