Oktoberfest, Haunted Attractions

Cape Coral's Oktoberfest has become a staple event in the community, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The German American Social Club, located at 2101 S. W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, has been hosting the event for decades, bringing together people from all over to enjoy traditional German food, beer, and --- music. According to the Cape Coral Oktoberfest website, the event takes place over two weekends, October 17-19 and 24-26, with admission prices ranging from $8 in advance to $10 at the gate (Cape Coral Oktoberfest, n. d.). In Fort Myers, the Alliance for the Arts is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and what better way to do so than with a spooky Halloween event?

The Foulds Theatre and surrounding campus transform into a "nightmare playground" with various haunted attractions, --- shows, and interactive activities. The event, which runs from October 18 to November 1, features a new haunted maze called Curtain Call Carnage, showcasing local actors and artists (Alliance for the Arts, n. d.).
