
This weekend, Southwest Florida is buzzing with exciting events. Rapper Plies, a Fort Myers native, is set to perform a rare hometown concert at Hertz Arena on Saturday, August 9. The talented artist, known for hits like "Bust It Baby, Pt. 2" and "Shawty," will take the stage at 8 p. m. In a tribute to Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Christy Mathewson, voice actor Eddie Frierson will write and perform a one-man show at the Alliance for the Arts on Sunday, August 10. This unique production tells Mathewson's story in the pitcher's own words, offering a captivating glimpse into his --- and career.
Guitar legend George Lynch, formerly of the '80s metal band Dokken, will bring his signature sound to Mango Rita's Rhythm House in south Fort Myers on Saturday, August 9. Lynch will share the stage with other iconic hard-rock acts... including Terry Ilous of XYZ and Anthony Corder of Tora Tora. The new Bonita Springs concert venue, "Sugarshack Downtown," "will host the finals of its inaugural singing competition on Tuesday.".. August 12.
