The Key West spirit is descending upon Hampton Beach, bringing with it a vibrant musical celebration. From August 20 to 23, over a dozen musicians from the Florida Keys will perform in various venues, infusing the Seacoast with island rhythms. Key West Days commences on August 20 at 7 p. m. with an "Opening Jam" at the Seashell Stage, featuring a collective showcase of Key West's distinctive sound.
The festival continues through Saturday, with daily performances in 10 different venues, running from 9 a. m. to midnight. Each artist will take the stage for three- to four-hour sessions, offering an immersive experience in the Keys' unique rhythms. This inaugural event was conceived by Dave Hartnett, a former Hampton Beach hotel owner, and his wife Kara, who wanted to share the musical magic of Key West with their community.
According to Hartnett... the festival aims to blend two beloved coastal worlds into one unforgettable experience. Zack Seemiller, a Key West entertainer, played a crucial role in setting up the event, helping to assemble a talented lineup of performers. As noted by Hartnett, "Seemiller's experience," "including opening for the late Jimmy Buffett.".. made him an invaluable partner.
