Florida Cracks Down On 'Weather Modification' Activities With New Airport Regulations

Article from Orlando Sentinel:

Florida's Airports Urged to Vigilant Against 'Weather Modification' Activities In a recent correspondence, Florida's top law enforcement officer, James Uthmeier, has reached out to public airport operators, emphasizing the importance of their cooperation in preventing the release of substances into the atmosphere that could potentially harm the environment.

The goal is to safeguard the state's skies and ensure they remain accessible to the general public, rather than being exploited by private entities or extremist groups. A newly enacted law, signed into effect by Governor Ron DeSantis in June, prohibits the dispersal of any materials into the atmosphere that aim to alter weather patterns, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity.

This legislation has sparked debate... with some critics arguing that it addresses a non-existent issue and imposes an unnecessary burden on airports. At the heart of this controversy lies a long-standing conspiracy theory that suggests aircraft condensation trails are, "in fact," 'chemtrails' – chemical agents sprayed for malicious purposes.

However, "state officials assert that their efforts are aimed at preventing potential threats to public health." According to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection... no licenses have been issued for weather modification activities since the program's inception in 1957. No applications have been received for such licenses.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier wrote to operators of public airports on Monday that their compliance is needed to ⁘catch those who seek to weaponize science⁘ and will safeguard the atmosphere from ⁘harmful chemicals and experiments.⁘ ⁘We need your help to keep our state free and make sure the skies belong to the people —not to private contractors, corporate experiments, or climate extremists,⁘ he wrote. ⁘In Florida, we don't jeopardize the public health so that we can bend the knee to the climate cult.⁘
