The event has hoarded widespread acclaim, with David Whitaker, a representative of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, extolling the festival's virtues. "There's no other event that epitomizes film, entertainment, and the refinement of Miami in Miami Beach quite like the American Black Film Festival," he remarked.
For writer Yasmine Crawley, the festival's validation is a testament to the power of Black creativity.
