Miami Beach Prepares for Chaos as Spring Break Arrives The city of Miami Beach is gearing up for what is expected to be one of the busiest spring break weekends in recent years, with authorities implementing various measures to maintain order and ensure public safety. "I thought we were just gonna come out here and have fun and do whatever we want to just because it's spring break but I guess there are a couple rules," Sabi said. To further enforce these restrictions, parking garages and lots south of 23rd Street will be closed, while DUI checkpoints will begin every night at 7 p. m.
