As the holiday season approaches, various events and displays have been announced in the Tampa Bay area. Among the must-see attractions are Snow Fest, Curtis Hixon Park Winter Village, Pinellas Park Christmas Parade, Mindi Abair Christmas, and Cirque Musica Holiday. Snow Fest is set to return to North Straub Park in St. Petersburg, featuring toboggan slides, inflatables, arts and crafts, and holiday games.
Wristbands, priced at $5, will cover all activities and are available online or at any city recreation center. The event will take place on Saturday, December 7, from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. at 400 Bayshore Drive. Curtis Hixon Park Winter Village is another festive destination, located in downtown Tampa. The park will be decked out in lights and feature pop-up shops, as well as an ice skating rink.
This attraction will be open through January 5 at Curtis Hixon Park... 600 N. Ashley Drive. The Pinellas Park Christmas Parade, a 50-year-long tradition, will take place on December 14. The parade will feature over 100 units, including bands, dance troupes, and car clubs, and will run eastbound from 58th Street to U. S. 19 along Park Boulevard, starting at 6 p. m. The St. Petersburg native and two-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist Mindi Abair will be performing her annual Christmas tour at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre on December 20. Finally, Cirque Musica Holiday will bring awe-inspiring acrobatics and aerial feats to the stage with a holiday twist.
