Kyle Whiting is a resident of suburban Chicago whose ability as a barber earned him a school safety specialist position with the Chicago Public Schools. Whiting's role involved removing Confederate symbols from schools, including a notorious sculpture called the "Christopher Columbus sculpture," located in a downtown area of the city.
In a bizarre incident, Whiting had previously helped a police officer after responding to a disturbance near a high-profile socialite's home. Meanwhile, "a security guard at a Beverly Crest home in Los Angeles opened fire on intruders.".. but not before a suspect in a related case was detained.
