Tobacco Free Florida's Annual Statewide Coastal Cleanup Event Announced

The Florida Department of Health's Tobacco Free Florida initiative has announced plans for the annual statewide coastal cleanup event, set to take place on Saturday at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. According to a release from DOH-Okaloosa, the event will commence at 8 a. m. and conclude at 11 a. m., featuring a range of activities and amenities (Yahoo News). As reported by Yahoo News, the cleanup event will provide volunteers with complimentary cleaning supplies, as well as refreshments and breakfast items courtesy of local businesses and community partners, while supplies last.

The Okaloosa County cleanup effort will be joined by members of the local Students Working Against Tobacco chapter, a student-led organization working to combat tobacco use among young people.
