Florida Set to Sparkle with Pride Month Celebrations Florida is gearing up to celebrate Pride Month in style, with events taking place across the state. From June 8 to June 9, various communities will come together to celebrate love, diversity, and the LGBTQ+ spirit. Key West Pride, with a 1970s disco-era theme, will take center stage in the island city.
The Key West Business Guild has planned an array of events, including late-night dance parties, sailing excursions, films, drag performances, and a disco bar crawl. A highlight of the weekend will be the Pride "We Are Family" Street Fair and Dance Party on Saturday, featuring ___ entertainment, food, drinks, and dance music.
On Sunday, the "all welcome" Pride Parade will kick off at 5 p. m. along Duval Street... showcasing a 100-foot section of Key West's famous sea-to-sea rainbow flag. The parade will be followed by a traditional evening Tea Dance at La Te Da. In Port St. Lucie, a parade, festival, and after-party will take place.
The parade begins at 10 a. m., followed by the festival until 6 p. m., and ending with an after-party from 7:30 to 11:30 p. m.
