According to a report by WPLG, the Petco Love and the Humane Society are set to host the second annual Mega Adoption event in Florida, with the goal of waiving adoption fees for pets in need of a forever home. The event is scheduled to take place from Friday to Sunday. The participating locations include two in Miami-Dade County: the county's main Animal Services shelter, located at 3599 NW 79 Avenue in Doral, and the Petco store, located at 6200 S. Dixie Highway in South Miami.
In addition, there are four locations in Miami-Dade County that will feature cats available for adoption: 12014 SW 88 Street, near Kendall; 18579 S. Dixie Highway, in Cutler Bay; 2565 NE 10 Court, in Homestead; and 10610 NW 19 Street, in Doral. In Broward County, three locations will also participate in the event.
Animal Care will be featuring pets available for adoption at their location, 2400 SW 42 Street... near Dania Beach, from 11 a. m. to 6 p. m. daily until Sunday. The Petco store, located at 1978 S. University Drive in Davie, will be participating from 12 p. m. to 3 p. m. on Saturday and Sunday, with only cats available for adoption.
Cats Exclusive will be featuring select cats for adoption at their location, 6350 W. Atlantic Boulevard in Margate, "from 11 a."m. to 4 p. m. on Friday and Saturday. All of the participating pets are reported to be spayed or neutered and have up-to-date vaccinations... making them ready for their new homes. The Mega Adoption event aims to find forever homes for hundreds of pets in need, "and event organizers urge the public to come out and support the cause."
