
Andy Kilmer, a dedicated Environmental Specialist with the Florida Park Service, has been a steadfast steward of public lands for seven years. Prior to joining the Crystal River team in 2022, he worked as a Park Ranger at Silver Springs State Park. As an Environmental Specialist, Andy's responsibilities include planning and implementing resource management activities, such as conducting prescribed fires and removing nonnative plants and animals.

He takes great pride in his work, often assisting with "Strike Teams" that provide recovery efforts after disasters. His passion for nature is evident, and he is frequently seen leading interpretive hikes along the 7-Mile Loop Trail, particularly during wildflower season.
