Solar Eclipse Events In Florida: List Of Festivals, Planetarium Celebrations In April 2024

On April 8, 2024, a partial eclipse will be visible across various parts of the United States, with the path of totality stretching from Texas to Maine. The eclipse will begin with the edge of the moon becoming visible, followed by the totality phase, which will last for three to four minutes. During this time, the sun will appear as a dark disk, and the sky will darken, signaling the start of the eclipse.

The states that fall within the path of totality are Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Additionally, parts of Tennessee and Michigan will also experience the eclipse. Residents of Florida can expect to see the eclipse beginning around 1:35 p.m. EDT, with the midpoint occurring at 2:55 p.m.

The partial eclipse will be visible from Florida, with the moon's shadow gradually moving across the state.

The totality phase will be visible from the path of totality, which is approximately 115 miles wide....
