
Florida Women's Basketball Falls To Tennessee In Road Contest
The Florida Gators women's basketball team faced off against the Tennessee Lady Vols on Thursday evening in Knoxville, Tennessee, and unfortunately, came up short in a closely contested game. The Gators entered SEC play with a 9-6 record, but have yet to win on the road, with their previous two games resulting in close losses to Vanderbilt and South Carolina. Despite their struggles, the Gators were able to keep up with the Lady Vols for the majority of the game, with the contest being evenly matched until the final minutes of the third quarter. However, the Volunteers were able to take the lead and pull away, ultimately winning the game 88-81.
The Gators were led by junior guard, Kiki Smith, who scored a team-high 23 points, while also adding 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Senior forward, Kayla Lewis, added 19 points and 7 rebounds, but it was not enough to overcome the Lady Vols' strong ###sive performance.
