After Hurricane Ian struck the Gulf Coast in September, Jake Miller shut down his Sunrise restaurant, FK Your Diet, packed plywood, tarps and fellow employees into a pickup and tore west along Alligator Alley.

Upon arriving at their sister store in Fort Myers, the breakfast-lunch diner was as eerily quiet and powerless as the San Carlos Park neighborhood around it. Streetlights had been crunched under 30-foot downed trees. Trailer roofs were peeled back like tins of tuna.

New I-95 interchange at Glades Road will soon debut

In just a few days, drivers who commute on Interstate 95 will see vast changes at a busy highway exit in Boca Raton. It'll be the first of its kind in the county, marking a major shift in how drivers travel around the area.

Antisemitic messages interrupt FAU student event

BOCA RATON — An event meant for Florida Atlantic University student organizations to promote their clubs was interrupted Wednesday afternoon by a group of several men who set up a table with a banner referencing antisemitic messages.

Danielle Yablonka, a 22-year-old senior studying communications and Jewish studies, is a member of the university's Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach.
