TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — State Rep. Fentrice Driskell, D-Hillsborough, has made history as the first Black woman to lead a party in the Florida House.
Driskell was elected leader-designate at a special legislative session in May and won re-election in November. The Tampa attorney was first elected back in 2018 and is currently serving her third term in the state House.
Vote now: Who should be SBLive's Florida High School Athlete of the Week (Nov. 15-19)?
Anthony Colandrea, Lakewood, Football: If you’re looking for one of the top passing performances around the state, maybe look no further than Colandrea’s display versus Tampa Catholic. The Spartan threw for 250 yards and five touchdowns in Lakewood’s 44-41 victory.
