Pelicans treated for injuries to be tracked - AMI Sun

Staff members at a local animal rehab organization know all too well what injuries can occur to these long-billed shorebirds in their search for food.

"We see at least 50 pelicans a year with mostly fishing-type injuries," said Krista Carpenter, a volunteer at Bradenton Beach-based Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Inc.

Little Brave Warriors had some reptile fun | Roodepoort Record

The children at Little Brave Warriors in Florida Park got a surprise on Wednesday, July 27 when Dudley van Loggenberg from Producate brought his reptiles for an interactive teaching experience.

The show started with his smallest reptiles – a variety of geckos – and ended with his boa constrictor named Boatista.
