Spokes persons: Adaptive Sports allows wheel-chair users to blaze their own trail | Ormond Beach ...

Kristen O’Toole has been using a wheelchair since she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014. She never thought she’d be riding a bike again. Or bowling. Or rowing.

Thanks to the Halifax Health/Brooks Rehabilitation Adaptive Sports and Recreation program, O’Toole rides a recumbent tandem bike on the Lehigh Trail in Palm Coast with her sister, Megan Noble. She’s also bowling, and now she wants to try rowing.

This year’s Arbor Day celebrations will commemorate the city’s newly recognized commitment to help aide in the recovery of Monarch Butterflies nationwide by joining Monarch City USA. Monarch City USA signs will be installed throughout Palm Coast as well as our Tree City signs.

A house in The Trails was the top real estate transaction in Ormond Beach and Ormond-by-the-Sea for the week of March 20-26 in the Multiple Listing Service. Joni and Andrew Harrison, of Daytona Beach, sold 113 Shady Branch Trail to Stacy Schinder and Chaim Makarov, of Ormond Beach, for $870,000.

July Fourth fireworks show uncertain as Flagler Beach seeks new provider | Palm Coast Observer

Flagler Beach has traditionally held an Independence Day fireworks event at the pier on July 4, and, after a two-year interruption for COVID-19, hoped to do so again this year. But with staffing issues affecting pyrotechnics providers, the city may not get a fireworks show at all this year.
