Hop-on jet service JSX launches nonstop flights from Dallas to Destin - CultureMap Dallas

With summer vacation on the horizon, Dallas-based JSX hop-on jet service is relaunching its popular seasonal service to a favorite Florida beach destination — Destin.

A videographer using a drone camera on a Palm Beach, Florida beach captured incredible video footage of a massive hammerhead shark that approached a group of paddleboarders.

Drone operator Evan Parness said he was flying his camera over the water in Palm Beach, taking video of paddleboarders. That's when he spotted the huge hammerhead shark slowly approaching the group of unaware people.

Say Gay rally pushes back against controversial Florida bill

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Community leaders and activists are pushing back against the Parental Rights in Education bill, more commonly known as the "Don't Say Gay" bill, after it was approved by the Florida House.

The Parental Rights in Education bill would prevent teachers from having any discussions about sexual orientation or gender identity in schools between kindergarten and the third grade.

Florida bill requiring high school financial course clears another hurdle

The Florida House is ready to consider a bill ( HB 1115 ) that would require high school students to take a course in financial literacy as a condition for graduation.

The House Education & Employment Committee unanimously approved the bill Wednesday. Under the bill, students who enter high school starting in the 2022-23 academic year would be required to earn 7½ credits in elective courses, a decrease from the currently required eight elective credits.

DeSantis signs bill blocking families, patients from being able to sue health-care providers over

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis addresses a joint session of a legislative session, Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, in Tallahassee, Fla.
